Links
Welcome to the links page! This contains links to every webcomic myself and Rachel like and read! There aren't any dead or long-hiatus comics on here, only ones that are still updating, so you can be sure that all of these stories are still continuing. It always annoys me when I'm reading a great comic, then it suddenly stops half-way. Thus, we're not gonna point you at any of those. Whenever possible I've found banners for the comics, and they're in alphabetical order. All of these are great, so go check 'em out if you haven't already!

9th Elsewhere - An amazing tale of an unhappy girl delving into the depths of her own mind. Beautiful artwork!
The 10K Commotion - It's hard to believe that you could create a great webcomic about a big DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) tournament, but Yukon Makoto has done it. Stylish art and a gripping story, this is what really persuaded us to start up Logic Failure. Without Tenkay, I wouldn't be writing this now.
Adventurers! - A hilarious parody of, well, pretty much every Final Fantasy game ever. Haven't played any of the FF series? Still funny, but some of the jokes may fly right past you.
Antihero For Hire - This one is stylish, funny and cool. Gotta love the idea of night-vision sunglasses for the graveyard shift hero!
Applegeeks - As a major Windows user, I still love this one, although if you truly detest Macs you might wanna avoid it. As for all you Apple lovers out there, this is the place to be. Art is damn cool, too...
Comedity - Penguins! Woo! Oh, and the main character has a group of personalities inside his head deciding what to do by vote, and another character once got lost in a plot hole. Also, there are penguins.
Darken - A D&D based webcomic with a twist: It's seen from the eyes of the bad guys. Of course, when the bad guys consist of a half-dragon, a champion of Hell and a short-sighted Drow, among others, how can you possibly complain? It's always fun to be bad.
Dominic Deegan: Oracle For Hire - The first truly story-based fantasy webcomic I ever came across, and possibly the greatest user of hilarously bad, rapid-fire puns the world has ever seen. "Knight vision", indeed...
Earthsong - A fantasy webcomic with a really excellent world, and an array of great characters with their powers and names taken from myths and legends.
Emergency Exit - I only found this one recently, but it's truly hilarious. Hammerspace, coolness enhancers, dimensional portals, demonic possession, a NES Zapper that shoots real lasers... the list goes on. So many beautiful, crazy things...
Inverloch - The art is wonderful, the story engaging, and the characters interesting. This fantasy comic has the power to truly suck you in. Plus, the website looks amazing.
leveL - Yes, it is supposed to be typed like that! A sci-fi comic with some great weirdness going on, and some truly vast-looking cities (just check out the cityscape on the entry page linked there for proof). Sadly, quite a slow update schedule (though by no means the slowest), but still a damn good comic.
Mac Hall - Great artwork, and often very funny. However, I truly recommend you read the archive through, as it was (at least in my opinion) way funnier about half-way through the archives than it is now, even if the artwork has improved. However, the fact that it is still hilarious should tell you just how good it used to be.
MegaTokyo - This is one of the ones that everyone knows. The story is enormous fun, and zigzags between robots and godzilla invading Tokyo, gaming, and some really quite deep relationship-type issues with perfect grace and control. If you're into webcomics, and you haven't read this one yet, read it now.
Misfile - A funny and unusual comic about what you might call a cosmic screw-up. There's a boy who wakes up one morning to discover that he's *ahem* missing something, and a girl who wakes up two years younger than when she went to bed. Not forgetting the pot-smoking "angel" who caused it...
The Order of the Stick - A hilarious D&D parody, in which an intrepid group fight their way through monsters, evil guilds based on themselves, and terrible confusion between 2nd and 3rd edition D&D. Gotta love Varsuuvius' caustic comments.
Penny Arcade - This is the original webcomic, at least as far as it really matters. Not only have Gabe and Tycho created a truly excellent webcomic, they also find time to write excellent views on gaming and current affairs in their newsposts, and run the charity "Child's Play", which gives gamers the opportunity to donate gaming gear to sick kids in Children's Hospitals around the world. This guys have more wang than the rest of the world put together, and I salute them.
PvP - This one's been running a pretty long time, too, and it shows Scott Kurtz's talent that it's still intelligent and witty and always original, despite having been running since 1998.
Questionable Content - This is unusual in the comic list, in that it's absolutely based in reality and never breaks the fourth wall. Well, ignoring the little sentient robot, anyway. But that's the only flicker of unreality, and how can you possibly be against Pintsize? Anyway, most of the jokes are about music, particularly indie music, so it'll help if you're into that kind of thing. I wasn't when I first read it, and it was still funny then, but I go back now and understand at least a few of the music references, and it's only got funnier. Go read, now!
Real Life - While this is, admittedly, vaguely based on the real life of the writer, in reality it regularly breaks the fourth wall, messes with reality, and whatnot. It is also all the more funny for that, and is on my all-time most hilarious reads. Oh, and: "Shirt Ninja! Away!"
Storm Corps - A recent discovery, this, and a thing of beauty. Not only is the artwork exceptional, the world is incredibly original and interesting, with a great story woven through it. A must-read, for so many reasons.
True Magic - Three completely inept heroes, zombies with mullets and an amulet of invincibility with a cheap clasp, there are so many incredibly funny things in here I can't even begin to list 'em all. Suffice to say, you will not regret reading this. Sadly, however, it is also the slowest-updating comic in this list, with an average of one strip a month. |
